While Amsterdam and the family were sleeping, I snuck out and walked the cobblestone streets of Amsterdam. For the most part, the only ones on the streets were me and the pigeons and seagulls, who were picking through the garbage.
One guy asked me for 5 Euros. I showed him my empty pockets. A lady asked me for a cigarette and a taxi. I had neither. Another muscle-bound guy with two umbrellas in his backpack asked me to use my phone, which I didn't have on me. Otherwise, the streets were mine.
