Road to Retirement: Canada to Cotacachi

 

So, we bought half an acre of land outside of Cotacachi, Ecuador, this summer. Eventually, we will build our dream home there.

The land itself has an altitude of 2,455 metres above sea level, which brings spring-like weather all year long. We wrote about other reasons why we bought near this small community of 8,000 to 9,000 people in northern Ecuador here.

To show people just how big this move really is, we made a Google Earth video. It starts in our hometowns of Swan River and Avonlea, Canada, and flies all the way down to Cotacachi, Ecuador. That's over 7,200 kilometres!
